Shane Stadler is the author of the sci-fi psychological thriller EXOSKELETON series (4 books) and the post apocalyptic dystopian novel, THE PEREGRINE CONJECTURE. He is an experimental physicist and a professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Louisiana State University where he teaches and conducts research on novel magnetic materials. He spent his early career at the US Naval Research Laboratory researching artificially-structured magnetic materials and his current research is funded by the US Department of Energy. In addition to writing fiction, Shane coauthors a well-known college physics textbook, and has published over 300 scientific papers on topics including spintronics, superconductivity, and magnetic cooling.
